New Massey Ferguson® MF 4300 Series Orchard Cab Tractors feature a state-of-the-art cab that meets or exceeds the requirements of ASAE Standard S525 for enclosed cabs for pesticide application incorporating respiratory protection, provides maximum operator comfort, convenience and visibility, and minimizes damage to crops and tree limbs.

A powerful four-cylinder turbo engine is at the heart of McCormick's first new tractor model, the MC115. With an output of 85kW (115hp) at 2200rpm rated speed, the newcomer has almost 13% more power than the previous MC range leader - the 75.4kW (102hp) MC100 - and 19% more torque.

The low-rev philosophy Farmers and contractors are constantly seeking out new ways to meet the needs of cost-efficiency and rising fuel prices. In heavy trucks, manufacturers aim at economical fuel consumption with the reduced maximum operating speed of the engine. The same shift has now also been made in tractors.

Thanks to John Deere Credit, Jason Kelsey has even more reason to be excited that his responsibilities on his family's Canastota, New York, dairy operation were recently shifted from cattle feeding to overseeing the regular maintenance of the farm's equipment. That's because Jason's name was randomly drawn as this year's winner of a beautifully restored John Deere 4020 Tractor at the 74th National FFA Convention in Louisville, October 25 through 27. This is the eighth year John Deere Credit has awarded one of these classic tractors to a member of the National FFA organization.

Construction will begin within the week to add a paint system, receiving and a quality assurance area. Upon completion, tractor assembly operations will begin sometime in 2002 in a 171,000 square foot section of the 510,000 square-foot facility.
