SFV Farm tractors

SFV model 302 tractor.Societe francaise de Vierzon (SFV) was a French manufacturer of farm tractors in the first half of the twentieth century. SFV origins date to the machinery workshop established by Celestin Gerard in 1848. Gerard's shop became SFMAI, a diverse farm equipment manufacturer. In the early 1930s the firm, now SFV, began building hot bulb type diesel tractors. An attempt to modernize the line in the late 1950s was unsuccessful and SFV was purchased by J.I. Case. The Vierzon factory converted to build construction equipment in 1962 and closed in 1995.
