New Massey Ferguson® MF 4300 Series Orchard Cab Tractors feature a state-of-the-art cab that meets or exceeds the requirements of ASAE Standard S525 for enclosed cabs for pesticide application incorporating respiratory protection, provides maximum operator comfort, convenience and visibility, and minimizes damage to crops and tree limbs.

"We spent two years designing and testing the 4300 Series orchard cab tractors, and during this time we had over 120 orchard operators use the tractor and provide feedback," said Tim Wagner, Massey Ferguson General Marketing Manager. "The information we received was invaluable in achieving the final cab and tractor design.

"The cab is designed and built by Massey Ferguson specifically for orchard applications – we wanted to improve on the aftermarket cabs used by other tractor manufacturers, " added Wagner. "This gives us the advantage of being able to fit the cab precisely to the chassis for maximum sealing and provide the best possible protection to the operator."

MF 4300 Series Orchard Cab Tractors have a three-stage air filtration system that controls both the external and internal cab filtration. One filter controls the intake air to eliminate chemical spray residue, and two additional filters control the recirculated air within the cab environment. If the operator steps out of the cab, for example, and gets chemical residue on boots or trousers, the internal system will filter this residue from the cab.

"Designing and building the cab based on extended testing and input from orchard operators has also resulted in a unique tapered design, the lowest roof height in the industry, and a redesigned cab interior for greater operator comfort and convenience," said James Hill, Massey Ferguson Sales Engineer.

The tapered cab design is reduced in width at the top to 35.8 inches, and the height of the steel roof is only 90.5 inches (with 18.4-26 rear tires) to reduce damage to crops and overhead tree limbs. For added crop protection rear view mirrors are located inside the cab, work lights are removed from the roof where they can snag fruit or limbs and repositioned on the fenders, and the exhaust points down – not up or horizontal.

There are three MF 4300 Cab Orchard Tractor models – the MF 4355 (85 PTO hp), MF 4360 (90 PTO hp), and MF 4370 (99 PTO hp). All three are available in 2 and 4-wheel drive configurations. The MF 4355 features a steeply-slanted low profile hood design, and the MF 4360 and MF 4370 have a gently-sloping standard hood profile.

All models are powered by new generation long-stroke Perkins four and six-cylinder diesel engines with Fastram™ combustion technology for easy starting, maximum torque at low rpm's, reduced emissions, reduced fuel consumption, and quiet operation.

Three fully synchronized transmission options are available to meet the specific needs of even the most demanding operators. A 12x4 Synchromesh with right hand shuttle, a 12x12 SynchroShuttle with left hand reverser, and a 24x24 PowerShuttle with left hand clutchless reverser and exclusive MF ComfortControl that allows the operator to adjust the PowerShuttle transition rate between forward and reverse – aggressive for loader work, less aggressive in other applications. All three transmission options afford the operator the ability to shuttle from forward to reverse and offer a wide range of working gears coupled with transport speeds up to 25 mph.

The low-profile tapered cab has 52 square feet of surround tinted glass for excellent visibility to the front, side and rear. A flat platform is open and uncluttered for easy access into and out of the cab, and a new design right hand console places all controls within easy reach of the operator.

MF 4300 Series Orchard Cab Tractors are equipped with High Flow Hydraulics and 31.9 gpm total hydraulic flow capacity to handle the hydraulic demands of larger orchard implements. Two remote valves are standard equipment, and additional remote valves up to four are available.

Electronic Linkage Control is an option for the 3-point hitch, and offers faster, more precise control of mounted implements, improved weight transfer, and better traction for reduced fuel consumption and tire wear.

An electro-hydraulically controlled 540/1000 Independent PTO is standard equipment and provides smooth and controlled engagement.
