Landini Rex S tractorThe Rex range becomes even more comprehensive with two new versions that offer a precise answer to an increasingly more demanding market when it comes to specialistic machines. Landini’s new Rex V and S tractors, for the narrow vineyard and narrow orchard respectively, stand out first and foremost for their professional styling as their compact dimensions combine perfectly with the ergonomics, comfort, performance and safety features.

The version for narrow vineyards features a front axle with an overall 980 mm width. This means that the all-out width of the tractor is less than one meter, in line with the outer perimeter of the cab and the 24” and 28” rear wheels.

As well as the “V” version, there’s also the “S” model, a really narrow orchard tractor that’s true to Landini’s tradition in this particular sector and that adds to the offer of models with all-out widths of less than 1250 mm, with 20”, 24” and 28” tires.

Both available in the cab and footstep versions, the new Rex tractors feature an ideal mixture of specialistic characteristics: compact size, low center of gravity, comfortable cab and a versatile hydraulic circuit complete with electrohydraulic control valves, flow dividers and hydraulic engines.

The three-point hitch with links that can be hydraulically regulated from the driver’s seat and adjustable Class 2 quick couplings are the features that are most able to represent the state-of- the-art of these types of tractors, along with the mechanical and electronic power lift.

There are three models available for each version, with Perkins 1100 Series 3-cylinder and 4- cylinder engines: Rex S75 and V 75 with a 68.2 HP power rating, Rex S80 and V80 with a 75 HP power rating, Rex S85 and V85 with an 81.6 HP power rating.

The engine-gearbox assembly is also completely new and is equipped with a synchronized mechanical reverse shuttle with 4 speed gears, 3 ranges and overdrive for an overall 24 + 12 speeds. Along with the 40 kph gearbox, the creeper option increases the number of speeds to 32 + 16.

The power take-off is engaged with a power-assisted control and provides two-speeds, 540 and 750 rpm, as well as the speed proportional to the tractor’s ground speed.

The pressurized and air conditioned cab completes the characteristics of Landini’s new specialized tractors and, despite the small size of these machines, provides the operator with the utmost in comfort as he works between the crop rows. There’s all-around visibility thanks to the fully glazed side doors hinged to the rear pillar. They also allow the operator to easily climb in and out of the cab.

The cab interior is particularly elegant and well finished with controls in ergonomic positions, a seat that can be adjusted in various ways and a steering wheel that can be adjusted in height.
