Case IH JX Series Maxxima tractors - the value line in the Case IH Maxxima utility tractor family - provide all the dependability and versatility utility tractor owners demand. Ranging from 42 to 80 PTO horsepower (hp), the five new JX Series Maxxima tractors represent a completely new offering for Case IH.

"With the JX Series, Case IH is addressing the needs of a new market segment," says Willie Greaser, marketing manager for Case IH JX Series tractors. "Its simple design and mechanical controls ensure easy use and service, making Case IH JX Series tractors the ideal power source for lifestyle, hobby and part-time farmers, as well as producers looking for an affordable alternative."

Case IH JX Series Maxxima tractors are available in either 2-wheel drive or mechanical front-wheel drive (MFD) configurations with a cab or a flat deck and rollover protection system (ROPS). The JX55 and JX65 offer 3-cylinder engines, while the three larger models have 4 cylinders. Both Case IH engines are quiet running, durable and provide outstanding torque back up.

More options, more value Farmers, homeowners and other operators can choose the transmission option that best suits their specific needs. A standard 12 forward, 12 reverse, synchronized mechanical shuttle transmission provides speeds ranging from under one to 18.5 mph.

The optional creeper version offers eight additional forward speeds in the first two ranges.

Both transmissions include a dedicated left-hand synchronized shuttle for easy directional changes during loader operations. In addition, a rear axle differential lock and limited slip differential on MFD axles keep Case IH JX Series tractors performing in tough conditions.

For operator comfort and convenience, JX Series Maxxima cab and platform models include both left- and right-side entry; adjustable tilt steering; mechanical seat suspension; and an ISO-mounted platform. The operator area is uncluttered, with an analog instrument panel and a user-friendly control layout. The sloped front hood offers best-in-class forward visibility.

"For customers who choose a cab model, the Case IH JX Series has one of the quietest, most modern, spacious cabs found in a value-priced utility tractor," says Greaser. "The deluxe adjustable seat and cab climate controls help to ensure operator comfort and productivity."

Dependable performer The JX Series offers mechanical draft controls and the highest three-point-hitch lift capacity in the value class at 7,718 pounds for the JX75, JX85 and JX95, and 6,615 pounds for the JX55 and JX65. And for easier operation and increased productivity, a special fast raise switch allows the operator to lower the three-point hitch to a pre-set height with one button.

Hydraulics on the JX Series include one or two rear remotes, an 11.8 gallons per minute (gpm) implement pump and a 7 gpm steering system pump. An independent 540 rpm PTO is standard.

For material handling operations, the JX Series can be equipped with the new Case IH LX132 loader, mid-mount remotes and a joystick for easy loader use. With the mid-mount remotes installed, the JX will have a total of 4 remotes.

"The sloping front hood on JX tractors combines with the LX132’s low-profile design to give operators excellent visibility to the bucket," Greaser says. "You can really see what you’re doing without a lot of strain."

The LX132 provides a 2,650-pound lift capacity, 126-inch lift height and 77-inch reach. Customers can further upgrade their loader to include one-lever quick connect for hydraulics, mechanical self-leveling and a skid steer-style quick coupler. In addition, the low-profile loader design allows daily service checks on the tractor and provides easy access to grease fittings for regular loader service.

"No matter what the job - mowing, loader work, baling or transport - the heavy-duty JX tractors will perform," Greaser emphasizes. " Daily service is made easy with a one-piece flip up hood that provides easy access to key service points, like the engine oil check and fill point, and an air conditioner condenser that slides out for easy cleaning."
