Producers are continuously looking for ways to improve efficiency in their operations. For some, whose operation includes significant material transport applications such as slurry wagons, productivity can be increased with faster maximum transport speeds. As a solution to this customer need, John Deere introduces the new 31 mph (50km/h) Value Package for 8030 Series Tractors.

John Deere 8030 tractor on road"Our customers have been asking for faster transport speeds and now we provide that capability with the new 31 mph Value Package," says Ron Schwertner, division marketing manager, John Deere Waterloo Works. "This package includes the 31 mph Infinitely Variable Transmission (IVT) that boosts maximum transport speed by 19 percent compared to the standard-equipped 26 mph PowerShift Transmission or IVT."

The 31 mph Value Package includes front Independent Link Suspension (ILS) with wet multi-disk brakes, a hydraulic differential lock, and a fully enclosed driveline. It also requires a 96-inch rear axle with rear air and/or hydraulic implement brakes and faster, single, non-row-crop "B" speed-rated 31 mph tires.

"Customers should contact their local John Deere dealer for the proper use and set up of these tractors," says Schwertner. "Depending on the material transport wagon or other pull-behind tools being used, the John Deere dealer can answer implement compatibility questions for the proper hook-up and operation of the tractor/wagon package."
