Special crops, from the orange grove to the vineyard, deserve special tractors. Massey Ferguson has them with its new MF 3300 Series. Customers can select from four different configurations, the F, S, V and GE, each designed to fit a particular need.

"We have the horsepower, hydraulics, transmissions and styles that specialty crop growers are looking for," says Steve Barcuch, Massey Ferguson General Marketing Manager. "All models in the line are available with electrohydraulic front-end engagement 4WD for extra pulling power. Also standard on all the 3300s is a tight turning radius, easy service-tilt hoods and a spacious semi-flat platform."

Comfort and ease of handling are important, but it takes a special kind of engine to handle long days in the orchard or grove. The 3300 Series features long running, dependable 3- and 4-cylinder Perkins engines, a Massey Ferguson tractor tradition.

The 3-model F series is designed for orchards and open fields, with its 4.6 ft. minimum width and ground clearance of 14 inches. The 3340 F, 3350 F and 3355 F are rated at 78 hp, 88 hp and 93 hp respectively.

The 2-model S series is slightly narrower at 3.9 feet minimum width and minimum ground clearance of 8.9 inches, just right for traditional and wider vineyards. The 3315 S is rated at 54 hp and the 3330 S is rated at 67 hp.

Growers with very narrow row vineyards, where every inch counts, can turn to the V series. The 54 hp 3315 V, the 67 hp 3330 V and the 78 hp 3340 V offer a minimum width of only 39.37 inches and ground clearance of 8.6 inches.

Orchard and vineyard owners with hillside stability concerns can turn to the 5-model GE series. Engine horsepower ranges from 54 to 93 hp. With a width of 50.4 inches and ground clearance of only 9.3 inches, the GE series hugs the ground.

"While each of these tractors is designed to fulfill a special need, they share a lot of standard features our competitors offer as options and options our competitors don't even offer," says Darrell Richardson, Manager Sales Engineering. "We offer cabs on all our models, except the GE tractors."

Cabs are designed for maximum visibility and comfort, with easy access controls to the left and right of the seat.. Comfort controls adapt to climate and field conditions, and incoming air passes through a carbon filter. The spring suspension seat is designed to give the support needed bouncing across the field or shuttling back and forth for hours in the yard.

Hydrostatic power steering, standard on all models, makes turning easy even under heavy front loads. The wet disc brakes, also standard on all models, is a proven and dependable system that stands up to heavy use.

Transmissions available as standard or optional depending on the model include the 16F x 8R Shuttle, the 20F x 10R or 24F x 10R with supercreep. A 30F x 15R with creeper gear is an option on GE style models.

Hydraulic power is provided by a proven, dependable gear pump on all models in the 3300 series. Depending on the model and style, maximum hydraulic flow ranges from 11.6 to 15.3 gpm. Every model comes standard with 2 auxiliary valves. An additional third spool valve and/or 2 front spool valves are optional.

"The 3300 series is designed to give specialty crop producers a dependable and adaptable tractor with the options they need to handle most any job," says Barcuch. "Combine it with the wide array of implements available for compact tractors from Massey Ferguson, and it really is a special kind of tractor for a special kind of farming."
