| The John Deere model 8450 was introduced, along with the 8650 and 8850, in 1982 as replacements for the 40-series four-wheel drive tractors. Efficiency was the focus of Deere's advertisting for these tractor models. Deere promoted the ability of the 8450 to perform planting and cultivation work, the duals could be set to navigate 30-inch crop rows. The 8450 also had a full-power PTO available, along with Load-and-Depth control on the three-point hitch. |
