    Production years:1963 - 1968
    Previous model:Allis Chalmers D15
    Tractor type:Farm/Agricultural tractor

The Allis-Chalmers D15 Series II replaced the D15 for 1963. The D15 Series II featured gas and LPG engines that were bored 0.125 inch larger, while the diesel engine remained the same. Headlights were moved from the hood to the larger rear fenders, an oval muffler was added, and the air filters were changed from oil bath to a dry type. The D15 Series II is identifiable by the full-length white hood decals with the model number at the front.

    Transmission:

    Transmission:Power Director
    Type:partial power shift
    Forward:8
    Reverse:2
    Oil capacity:14.75 qts [14.0 L]
    Oil type:
    : SAE80EP

Comments:The transmission is controlled by means of the gear shift lever and the Power Director lever. The tractor must be stopped, and clutch used, to select one of four forward gears, or reverse. The Power Director lever has high, low, and neutral positions. The Power Director can be shifted on the move without clutching. Placing the Power Director into neutral causes the tractor to stop while keeping the PTO engaged.
    Speeds:With 12.4-26 rear tires.

    Gear2000 rpm
    L11.8mph [2.9kph]
    L23.3mph [5.3kph]
    L34.2mph [6.8kph]
    L410.5mph [16.9kph]
    H12.6mph [4.2kph]
    H24.7mph [7.6kph]
    H35.9mph [9.5kph]
    H415mph [24.1kph]
    LR3.2mph [5.1kph]
    HR4.7mph [7.6kph]

    Transmission:

    Transmission:shuttle
    Forward:4
    Reverse:4
    Oil capacity:14.75 qts [14.0 L]
    Oil type:
    : SAE80EP

Comments:The shuttle transmission is controlled using the gear shift lever and the shuttle control lever. The tractor must be stopped, and clutch used, to select one of four speeds with the gear shift. The shuttle control lever enables a shift between forward, reverse, or neutral without clutching. A PTO could be ordered on the industrial D15 with the shuttle, but it ran at 875 RPMs.
