John Deere MachineFinder.com upgrade uses TractorData

Deere & Company has launched an upgraded MachineFinder.com that utilizes data from the TractorData.com tractor information database. The agreement provides TractorData weight estimates which enable MachineFinder.com to generate estimated shipping costs using uShip. MachinerFinder is a site used by John Deere dealers to advertise equipment.

Upgrades to MachineFinder include new mapping and photo features, in addition to the shipping estimator. The uShip shipping estimator uses overall weight, source zip code, and destination zip code to calculate an estimated shipping cost. The uShip service then enables shipping services to bid on the shipment, and buyer can select from competitive bids.

TractorData.com was launched in 2000 and provides information on all makes and models of tractors. TractorData's records of nearly 7,000 models and 200 manufacturers is the largest database of tractor information on the internet.
