Agricultural engineer Stephen Haylock has bought a piece of tractor manufacturing history with his auction-winning bid for the last McCormick CX tractor to be built at the company's Doncaster assembly plant.

John Deere introduces a new line of large, high-horsepower tractors – the 9030 Series Scraper Tractors. These three models of tractors, ranging from 425 to 530 hp, are engineered for large-scale scraper operations, providing more power, productivity, operator comfort and cleaner burning engines that meet federal Tier III emissions standards.

AGCO Corporation a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, introduced the Fendt TRISIX Vario, the world's most innovative tractor, this week at Agritechnica, the world's largest agricultural equipment exhibition. AGCO unveiled its futuristic, high performance, triple axle tractor at this internationally renowned engineering exhibition in Hannover, Germany. Unlike any tractor on the market today, the technologically sophisticated, 540 hp concept showcases AGCO on the cutting edge of agricultural innovation.

Valtra is expanding the N Series by offering new models in the under-100-horsepower class: the N82 and N92, the latter of which replaces the N91.

From November 6 to 8, 2007, the top management of CNH International Operations, a world leader in the agricultural equipment business and part of the Fiat Group, is holding an export seminar with all its sales & marketing teams from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the CIS, Australia and New Zealand at its Shanghai New Holland plant. New Holland is a brand of CNH. The export seminar, aimed at training the sales force on the features and benefits, as well as on new market opportunities for the new TL5000 tractor range, is further proof of the ongoing CNH commitment to the Chinese and other new markets.

The Dyna-VT continuously variable transmission from Massey Ferguson, has received AE50 recognition from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). In making the award, ASABE cited the smooth, infinitely variable speed control, noting that the Dyna-VT offered "…versatility and precision through innovative technology, sophisticated features and easy-to-use, straightforward controls."

For the first time in the company's history, Case IH has been honored with a prestigious Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. The Case IH Magnum tractor was voted one of the winning designs in the transportation category.

For 2008, the Case IH Steiger line introduces five new models including four-wheel drive and Quadtrac configurations with up to 589 peak horsepower and enhanced fuel efficiency.

Deere & Company announced today that it has completed its acquisition of the Ningbo Benye Tractor & Automobile Manufacture Co. Ltd. business, located in Ningbo in southern China. In June, Deere announced it had signed a definitive agreement to purchase Benye.
