New transmission gives McCormick's C-MAX Utility tractor greater versability and durabilityMcCormick TI Press Release - May 15, 2006A new transmission option brings a NUMBER OF performance AND convenience features to McCormick's C-MAX utility tractor. 'The C-MAX IS a neat, light-weight utility tractor that's available WITH a cab or open platform, two- or four- wheel drive and standard OR high clearance configurations,' notes Paul Wade of McCormick. 'Until now, it's been available only WITH a simple all-mechanical gearbox. The new power shuttle option gives the tractor added features that will appeal TO a wide range OF operators wanting extra performance and durability.' McCormick's Reverse Power Shuttle (RPS) transmission is being introduced on four-wheel drive, standard clearance versions of the following four-cylinder engined C-MAX models as an alternative TO the standard synchro shuttle gearbox: In place of the dry clutch of the syncho-shuttle gearbox there is a wet clutch assembly for greater durability and longer service life. Also, the new transmission replaces manual engagement of four-wheel drive and power take-off with hydraulic clutches. | ||
