New generation, large-chassis AGCO ST Series tractors add higher horsepower versions of their lower power siblings to fill out the ST compact line. Like their lower horsepower counterparts, the four new compacts emphasize comfort and serviceability with three of them, the ST34A, the ST47A and the ST52A available with a factory-installed ROPS cab. All four, including the ST41A, are designed specifically for use with the new pedestal-mount loader for quick mount and dismount and offer a joystick as a factory-installed option. Like other new generation STs, they also share a tilt hood, open platform and ergonomically placed controls.

"Comfort and serviceability are just as important in a compact tractor as in a high performance, high horsepower tractor, and that is especially true for these workhorse STs," says Todd Stucke, general marketing manager, AGCO tractors. "These tractors are ideal for professional specialty crop growers, landscapers, construction contractors and municipalities who need a rugged piece of equipment for all-day projects. They are equally well suited for the weekend large property owner or hobby farmer who needs a dependable tractor for small jobs and big jobs alike."

The large chassis STs have plenty of power to tackle everything from fieldwork to construction sites. The 33-engine hp ST34A is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3-cylinder diesel engine, while the 3-cylinder, 40-engine hp ST41A is turbocharged. The ST47A with 47.5 engine hp and the ST52A with 52.1 engine hp are both naturally aspirated. All four are Tier II EPA certified. Buyers can select from four transmissions to find the one that best suits their needs. They include the 8x8 with two ranges and four gears per range, the 12x12 PowerShuttle with clutchless change of direction, hydrostatic and Quadrashift transmissions.

"Engines and transmissions get the job done, but operator comfort makes it easier to get the job done well, and serviceability makes it easy to keep them in top operating order," says Stucke. "These tractors are designed for easy-on and easy-off operator movement with semi-flat and flat decks, suspended pedals and tilt steering wheels. Controls have been carefully placed for comfort and convenience. Combined with the deluxe adjustable seat, the ergonomic control design reduces operator fatigue and increases productivity. Hood and grille tilt up for easy access, even with a mounted loader, and side panels pop off without tools."

All-weather comfort is assured with the optional factory-installed cab. Equipped with heat and air conditioning, wiper/washer and front and rear work lights, operators stay comfortable with excellent visibility regardless of weather conditions. Curved rear windows and two-door access add to a sense of space and convenience.

Four mid-mount hydraulic couplers make it easy to hook up loaders and other attachments and add to the tractors' versatility. All four can be equipped with R1 Ag tires, R3 and high-flotation LSW turf tires as well as R4 industrial tires.

"From end-to-end and mid-mount as well, these tractors are built for multi-tasking," says Stucke. "They have the tools, the power and the options for almost unlimited numbers of jobs."
