AGCO introduces new generation GT tractors

The new GT Series of AGCO tractors are EPA Certified Tier II emissions compliant and are now available with multiple tire and enhanced 3- point hitch options. The new options reflect the growing popularity of this 44- to 74- horsepower line of utility tractors for use in construction, landscape and turf grass maintenance.

“This tractor series has proven itself in many markets beyond that of the small farm and chore tractor, and now it is available from the factory with turf and industrial as well as ag tires,” says Todd Stucke, general marketing manager, AGCO Tractors. “Equipped with a cleaner running engine and these new options, the new generation GT series will be even more attractive to commercial operators, as well as to farmers needing a fuel-efficient, high-torque tractor in this power range.”

The GT45A and GT55A are powered by 3-cylinder, 3-liter diesel engines. The GT45A is rated at 44 PTO hp, and the GT55A is rated at 56 PTO hp. The GT65A and GT75A are powered by 4-cylinder, 4-liter diesel engines and produce 62 and 74 PTO horsepower, respectively. All four are equipped with 16F/8R Synchro-Shuttle transmissions, especially well suited for loader and blading work where repetitive direction changes are needed.

The tire options now include the R1 ag tire, R3 turf tire and R4 industrial tire. Dealers can order the new GT with the preferred tires factory installed. Also factory-installed is the new extendable lower link on the 3-point hitch. The link option gives operators even more versatility when working with rear-mounted attachments and implements.

All four GT models are available in 2-wheel drive and mechanical front wheel drive (MFWD) drive as well as platform or cab configurations. With a turning radius of only 10 feet for 2-wheel drive models and 12-feet for MFWD models, the series is especially well suited to use in limited access areas.

“GT series tractors with their Synchro-Shuttle transmissions and 22.7 gpm flow hydraulic pumps make great loader tractors,” says Stucke. “Equipped with the Quick-Attach FL200 loaders, multiple attachments and optional joystick controls, these tractors are versatile tools for almost any job.”
