Valtra offers new range of tractor colors

Valtra
-

Valtra is the only tractor manufacturer in the world that allows customers to choose the colour they want for their tractor. Offering a choice of colours is possible because all Valtra tractors are custom made to order according to the customer’s wishes.

Colours have played an important role in the history of Valmet and Valtra tractors. The first Valmet tractors were red and then switched to yellow in 1967. When the tractor operations of Volvo BM and Valmet were combined in 1979, the standard colour became red again. In 1988 Valmet made history by introducing a range of colour options that included blue, white, yellow and green in addition to red. Since then, the choice of colours has been used effectively as a marketing tool to differentiate Valtra from its competitors.

Valtra will introduce a new range of colour options for summer 2005. The new colours have been chosen according to customer feedback and contemporary trends. The new colour range consists of red, green, blue, metallic red, metallic green, metallic blue, silver and yellow. At the same time some colour shades will be slightly changed; for example, the red will change from tomato-red to a brighter red that is closer to the original colour used on Volvo BM and Valmet tractors.
