John Deere introduces a new concept for ordering Large Row Crop and Four-Wheel-Drive tractors that simplifies specifications and codes, and offers customers greater functionality and value.

"Value Packages are simplified order codes compiling groups of popular options into one single tractor configuration," says Don Worner, Manager, Marketing Planning John Deere Waterloo Works. "Customers choosing some of these packages can save up to $2500.00 U.S. by ordering a Value Package compared to individual codes and attachments."

Using Value Packages also simplifies ordering for John Deere dealers and improves inventory management. Common tractor configurations on dealer lots will make it easier for equipment transferal and help to expedite customer orders throughout the U.S. and Canada.

"Customers that order Value Packages will receive a highly desirable combination of options that increase comfort, convenience, and productivity," says Worner. "The ordering process will be simpler, and our availability of properly specified tractors will improve. This is an efficient, new system that will benefit customers and dealers, and simultaneously reduce manufacturing costs allowing us to pass on benefits in the form of a very competitive price."

Beginning November 1, 2004 customers will be able to find the Value Packages on www.JohnDeereAg.com under the Configurator ordering system. They should also consult with their local John Deere Dealer for qualifying tractors, and specific packages and terms.
