The Collar Shift transmission is controlled with two levers and the foot clutch. The right-hand lever selects one of three speeds (1-3) or reverse (R). The left-hand lever selects one of three ranges (A-C). The tractor must be stopped, and clutch used, to shift either speed or range.

Four speeds (1-4) in three ranges (A-C) with forward-reverse shuttle lever. Direction changes may be done while moving using the left-hand shuttle lever. Speed changes are synchronized using the clutch. Tractor must be stopped, and clutch used, to shift ranges. At tractor start-up, clutch pedal must be cycled once before tractor will move.
